UTERINE PHASES OF MENSTRUAL CYCLE

PROLIFERATIVE PHASE

This phase is under influence of hormone oestrogen and constitutes the re-growth of endometrium after the menstrual bleed. It starts on about 4^th or 5^th day of the cycle (onset of menstruation taken as 1^st day) and usually lasts about ten days, ending with the release of ovum.
