Cesarean section is surgical delivery of a baby, through
an incision in the lower abdominal wall and the lower portion of the uterus.
Even though this is extremely safe when done by qualified
obstetricians, it should only be performed when there are definite reasons for not
permitting delivery through the vagina. The personal desire of the patient or her family
for a cesarean delivery does not constitute a valid medical indication!
